Can I Have Advice And Information About Growing Ficus Umbellata Outdoors.

We live in Darwin on a bush block with poor soil. We were sold a ficus umbellata to put in the garden as a tree. How big do they grow and what conditions do they need? We can’t find a photo of one as a full grown tree so don’t know what it will grow into. Should we just keep it in a pot instead? Thanks.

You can keep it in a pot if you desire. They are most often grown as indoor houseplants. Outside, it needs moist soil and part sun. I couldn't find a photo of one outdoors so you may want to visit a local nursery for more information on growing one outside.
