Can I Dig Up Tulips And Put In Pot With Soil, Will They Continue Growth And Bloom

I have tulips growing in an impossible spot and want to dig and up into flower pots until can replant. Will they continue growing and still bloom?

I would not dig them up unless there is no foliage on the plant, or when the foliage starts to yellow in the Fall.
