Q.Can I Clean And Repot To Remove Spider Mite Infestation?

Zone 05478 | Vmattison535 added on September 20, 2020 | Answered

Several indoor elephant ear plants infected with spider mites. Ongoing for about one month, have been spray treating and it has helped but I’m not sure they are completely cleared. Can I cut them down, rinse well, and repot to end all spider mites? It is becoming too cold for the plants where they are quarantined and this is the last thing I can think of to help them so they can rejoin my other plants.

This will not rid your plants of the issue. It will help, but you must be persistent in killing them, since they will move into the soil to avoid the slaughter.
