Question

Will cabbage plants turn to seed? Will the plant still produce cabbage heads or do you have to remove the plant? Our plants are in a greenhouse.

Cabbages can bolt (go to seed) before they form a head if they are exposed to temperatures that are above their ideal. Once they bolt, there is no way for them to form a head. You can help reduce the chances of bolting by planting in cool weather and mulching around the plants.
