Burning Bush Plants

Burning Bush Condition

Zone North Eastern Indian | BrianH added on June 9, 2014 | Answered

After the harsh winter, I have 5 burning bush plants that appear to be dead at the top with very sporadic growth throughout, but very good growth at the base. All are approximately 6 feet tall.

Your bushes were damaged by the hard winter weather, but should come back nicely. You can prune them back hard, what is called rejuvenation pruning, and they should be better than ever in a couple of years. https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/burning-bush/pruning-burning-bush.htm
