My bismark has brown tips on some of the leaves–the other bismark right next to it does not–what is going on ?

Brown leaf tips usually indicate too much or too little watering. Bismarcks are drought tolerant so I'm wondering if one is getting more water than the other or is in a bit of shade. If that seems satisfactory, I would then check the soil nutrients. Often palms suffer from mineral deficiencies.
