Q.Brown Marks On Mulberry Leaves

Zone Gold Coast, Australia | Rod.olsen added on September 1, 2024 | Answered

Hi, I have a dwarf Mulberry tree that has brown marks on all mature leaves. There are some new leaves and fruit coming out that don’t yet have this mark. I only water once a week, could that be it? Pics attached.

This resembles potassium and magnesium deficiencies. Whether this is salt build up, pH imbalances, nutrient issues, and disease will be determined by some soil tests. Many times, there will be multiple factors that you can pick off one by one, or get immediate results with tests. Watering can be an issue, but as long as it doesn't dry out between waterings, or doesn't remain oversaturated, then it could lead to deficiencies.
