Bonsai Gardenia Plant 3 Years Old

Question

I received a 3 year old bonsai gardenia plant, which is 12 inches, from FTD. It has buds on it. I live in Las Vegas, NV. No Humidity indoors or out. Right now it will hit 100 degrees. I have no southern facing windowsills that I can put the plant on. I tried putting 6 icecubes to melt on top of the plant and the plant is on a tray with pebbles. From the first day the plant dropped leaves (yellow). Over 100 leaves have now dropped. How do I take care of this?
