Q.Blue Spruce

I have two CO Blue Spruce plugs that grew about 4 inches when I put them into peat pots…I was transporting them to AK, and needed them to be portable for a bit. On my way home, the new growth wilted and does not seem to be ‘coming back’. Should I clip them off? Or just let them be? I don’t want them to split into 2 tops. They are both about 5-6″ tall.
Also, how big should they grow before I put them in the ground?
Thanks for your advice,
Kara

Continue to care for them and see if they come back. If the roots dried out, you will need to wait and see what damage was done.
