Blanket of New Mushrooms in Sod

Question

New sod last year. Each morning for the past two weeks there is a blanket of mushrooms (not an exaggeration) in my lawn. There is plenty of sun exposure, and drainage is good. I pick the mushrooms by the stems because they are unsightly. Will they eventually stop growing?
