Q.blackberry bush pruning
What if I missed the late summer timing to prune back blackberry bushes? Now in February, how to handle? Trim back to all the way back?

Remove all the canes that were fruit bearing, all the way to the ground.
This can be more difficult following the winter, with snow and wind.
Early Spring pruning is fine, just do before the new growth starts.
Leave 4 to 6 good, healthy canes for each plant.
Prune any lateral or side shoots down to about 12 to 15" inches in length.
