Q.Black Tips on My Ivy

tammyebardsher added on July 11, 2011 | Answered

About 2 days ago I repotted an ivy I received over a year ago. I have since noticed the tips are turning black and look burnt. This plant has been on my patio all summer in the Oklahoma heat. Is my plant getting too hot? I make sure it is watered regularly.

Transplanting is a stressful time for a plant, and it makes it hard for it to deal with conditions it normally has no problem withstanding. It sounds like it may have a touch of transplant shock. I would move it somewhere shady for a few days and increase the water a bit. This article will also help:
