Q.Bird of Paradise Damaged by Unexpected Snow
My bird of paradise got damaged by unexpected snow this past December. I have not cut it back yet. The leaves and stems are all damaged but do not appear to be dead. I’m not sure what kind it is. I live in Auburn, CA- this is Zone 8 or 9. This is the most snow we have had in 20 years. Can you give me some advice on caring for the plant? I can’t really dig it up. Also, any good ideas about rhododendrons (plants with big green leaves)? They also got damaged.
