Q.Bird of Paradise burning in direct sun and seldom needs watering. Should I move it or water more?
Have a bird of paradise in my house in a fairly dark room. It was in front of a south window and the leaves were burning. Also have not watered it in 2 months as my water meter tells me it is still quite wet.
Should I water more or move it to different window?

It is likely that a fungal infection was mistaken for sunburn, as these will need quite a bit of sunlight to thrive indoors. Soil remaining too wet for too long will be the cause of most fungal infections.
I would treat with a fungicide, and provide proper conditions for growth to get the best recovery.
