Bird of Paradise

My plant will put out a stalk in order to bloom but before bloom can open stalk breaks off. Thank you for your assistance.

Is your plant an indoor plant?

I suspect that the plant is needing more light.

This plant needs 5 to 6 hours of direct sunlight daily.
