Best Way To Get Weeds Under Control

We have 2 large vegetable gardens. We went to the beach for a week and came back and they had overtaken. What’s the best way to keep weeds out? Is there something that can be done so each year they become fewer and fewer weeds in that area?

For now, hand pulling is best, since you have plants still going. In the future, solarizing soil is a wonderful way to rid it of pests. It will kill off weed seeds in the soil, as well as infections and insects.
