Best time to start Broccoli and Cauliflower

Zone 92078 | ktsenya2 added on August 18, 2019 | Answered

Have some garden space opening up and want a lot of Broccoli and Cauliflower this Winter. Got to start from seed so any advice on when to start sprouting them? I'm in Zone 23 not far from San Diego county coast.

You will be in USDA zone 10. This means that you will want to start them in September for them to grow properly and in the right time frame. Both will be treated very similarly. These articles will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/broccoli/how-to-grow-broccoli.htm
