Q.Berry bushes and ferns

Zone 02476 | otters2233@gmail.com added on June 18, 2017 | Answered

Hi,
I’m planting a circle of varied blueberry bushes around my precious little Himalayan white birch, How far away from the tree (diameter is only about an inch to date) do you suggest I plant the blueberry bushes?
How much distance should the bushes be from one another.

Re. ph levels: optimal for
1) blueberry bushes
2) the birch
3) nearby strawberry patch
4) neary raspberry path
5) ph for various ferns in mostly shady back yard.

My woodsy garden and I thank you!

Blueberries will need full sun and the tree may shade them too much.

You may want to find a different location for them.

These plants are suggested companion plants for a Himalayan White Birch.
Boxwood (Buxus); Lenten Rose (Helleborus); Sweet Flag (Acorus); Grecian Pattern Plant (Acanthus mollis); Curly Sedge (Carex)
