Q.Acorns

Anonymous added on September 23, 2015 | Answered

The city has planted two trees by the sidewalk that I cannot identify. I have searched the web with no luck. It has green acorns, which today have turned a light yellow, growing in clusters and my understanding is that only oak trees have acorns. The trees are 3 yrs. old and only about 6′ tall. The leaves have pointy tips and the veins are not symmetrical. Please help.
