Q.Basil plant pests

Zone sydney nsw australia hunters hill | barbarap added on April 10, 2016 | Answered

I have a basil plant growing outside on balcony and it recently has been eaten by a green worm. Before this the plant was very healthy. But then I noticed that the leaves had black specks on them could be the worms droppings.

I then found a leaf with the worm in it. he leaf was folded up and the worm inside it. Now the leaves have been eaten and I want to save it. What type of pest is this and how can I get rid of it? I did find a worm today and disposed of it.

There are several pests that enjoy Basil plants including caterpillars.
Neem Oil can be used to treat the plant. Neem Oil is organic, and safe for people, pets and bees.
