Q.Basil High Temp

Anonymous added on May 14, 2014 | Answered

Articles talk about the minimum temperature for basil outside – none mention how hot it can get without damage. We have potted basil outside here in Las Vegas, NV. When do we bring it inside temperature-wise, if at all? It gets east exposure/sun until about 11 local. Thanks.

You don't have to bring it inside. You need only make sure that the plant has sufficient water and in your case, perhaps a bit of afternoon shade to ease the stress of high temps. In conditions like yours, they should be watered twice a day.
