BAMBOO BUSH

Question

I bought this a year ago and it came in a vase with water beads, I want to transplant this in a container. Is this possible and how do I know if this is the running type? I would like it to grow around my entire yard. Thank you

I would need a picture to see if it was actually bamboo, or dracaena. This is often sold as "lucky bamboo". This will not survive outdoors unless you are in a warmer climate. Bamboo can be grown in cooler weather, however. Can you include a photo so that I may see what it is?
