Q.Bad insects vs Beneficial insects

Zone Taneytown, MD | GSchoeffield added on May 20, 2016 | Answered

It is only May (in Maryland) and I already see aphids (green but last year I also had red ones) on some of the flowering trees. I also see quite a few ladybugs. I don’t want the aphids but I also don’t want to kill the ladybugs. Any ideas Last year I lost a lot of plants to aphids!

I'm sorry you're dealing with these pests! There are several plants that you can introduce onto your property that will actually attract ladybugs, and they are listed here: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/garden-how-to/beneficial/attract-ladybugs.htm
