Q.Baby Joshua Trees At Base Of Tree Can Be Moved When?

Zone 85253 | hummer611@hotmail.com added on March 14, 2022 | Answered

I have 3 babies under my huge Joshua tree . One is about 10 inches tall with many spikes. The other 2 are just a few spikes. When is it safe to transplant them in another area of the yard? And how should I do that? Thanks.

Now can be a good time. Really, any time of year is fine with this one. The best time is Autumn, but that isn't to say that it won't do well with a transplant at this time.

Just be sure to balance watering. These trees would rather a decent dry out between waterings, if you can help it. Just don't let them remain dry for long until the roots have established, and you see significant new growth.

This article will help you to transplant one of these:
