Q.Asparagus plants
About nine months ago I was given some Asparagus plants which I potted into 150mm pots and they have grown very well despite the awful heat wave. They have outgrown the pots and I have to transplant them into above ground old chemical containers that are 100mm x 900mm x 600mm deep.
The weather is still warm here at St.George Qld but I am concerned that it might be the wrong time to make that move. Should I wait until they brown off and are prepared for the winter top-dresssing to transplant or should I wait for early Spring to transplant? I have had no experience with Asparagus and I do not want to lose these wonderful plants. Thank you for your help. Keith.
It would be best to transplant during dormancy.
