Q.Asparagus Fern

Zone Kansas City, MO | Anonymous added on May 9, 2019 | Answered

I hope I didn’t kill my asparagus fern when I brought it indoors for the winter. Its in a small pot and was beautiful then when I brought it in it started turning brown so I cut it all off to about 2 inches above the dirt. All that was (is) there was brown sticks sticking up. I maybe watered it 2 times over the winter (I figured it was dormant) and now I have set it back outside (been there about 2 weeks) and watered every other day. It isn’t doing anything. Is it too soon? Will it come back?

Unfortunately your plant may have died. To winter over indoors you should just treat as a houseplant. They do not need to go dormant.
Luckily these are quite inexpensive and you can start another plant.
