Q.Apricot Tree

Zone 9 | juleejp added on July 3, 2012 | Answered

Our apricot tree is about 17 years old. It gave us a great harvest this month with tons of apricots. My problem is that it has a lot of sap running out of it, and at the base of the tree. The tree is very large. What is going on and what should I do?

Sounds like your tree may be infected by peach tree borers, which also affect apricot trees. Here is an article that you may find helpful: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/peach/peach-tree-borer.htm
