Q.African violet

Zone Cincinnati,ohio | capracorn47 added on December 19, 2015 | Answered

My plant is a mature plant. It has flowered many times. Now the leaves are drooping! I water from the bottom with luke warm water. It looks sad! What is wrong with my plant?

Watering from the bottom of the plant is the best method. Make sure the entire soil is wet, then allow the pot to drain.
Water again when the soil surface is dry.
If the soil seems soggy, you can carefully lift the plant from it's pot and check the roots. Healthy roots are white, if they are brown and dark; the plant may be suffering root rot.
You can trim away any dead roots and repot the plant in fresh potting soil.
Also check the underside of leaves for any pests that may be hiding.
You can wash the leaves to remove any aphids or scale insects.
