Q.Help wtih tulips

Zone 7 | oklameg added on March 22, 2012 | Answered

I live in zone 7, heat zone 8. I would like to see if I could get my tulips to bloom again next year. I have heard that it is possible and that I should dig up the bulbs after the foliage dies down in late spring. Can you give me any suggestions or help? Thanks.

Yes, once the leaves go yellow on their own, you will need to dig them up and pre-chill them to get them to bloom for next year. These articles have additional information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/bulbs/bgen/how-to-plant-bulbs-in-the-south.htm
