Why are the leaves turning yellow and falling off?

The most likely reason is overwatering or poor drainage in its container. Since Madagascar palm is a succulent, it needs less water than other plants and should be kept in a potting soil designed for cacti and succulents.

Excessively high pH in the soil can also cause yellowing leaves.
