What Type of Sprinkler Is Safe to Use on Newly Planted Grass Seed?

Dani added on April 1, 2012 | Answered

Somehow I managed to close this question to new answers. . . how do I undo that? I received a reply stating boiling water would kill the weeds I was questioning. . . just want to clarify --- will the boiling water kill the nearby grass as well? Does boiling water work for moss - both in the lawn and in/on cement hardscaping? Thank you!

The boiling water will kill any vegetation it touches. If you make 2 funnels out of the cut off tops of soda bottles and tape them together at the mouths, This will create a funnel you can use to place over the areas that you want to kill without hurting other plants.

It will also kill moss, but this article will also provide you with more info on killing moss:
