I had a big wisteria vine that was starting to creep under my aluminum siding on my house. But now some of the suckers or off shoots have started to grow and I want to finally kill this plant once and for all.
Here is a link for you.
The leaves on my wisteria are drying up and falling off. The plant is at least 10 years old. It has always been full and beautiful. What would cause this to happen?
This can be caused by either a fungus or root damage. Check the roots for signs of damage or a gall (kind of like a tumor for plants). If you do not see signs of a root problem, treat the plant with a fungicide. This should help.
I planted two wisteria vines in Albuquerque, NM last fall. They seem to be growing well, but neither bloomed in late spring. Will they bloom in the summer? Further, the leaves on one of them are curling even though it has been getting regular watering, every other day with temperatures in the high nineties. Thank you.

I have had my wisteria for 2 years. It has not bloomed yet. What could be the problem? It is growing upon a fence in a sunny area.
I would guess that the nitrogen to phosphorus ratio is off. The soil may have an abundance of nitrogen, which would result in nice, healthy green growth but little to no blooms. Without the right amount of phosphorus, it will not bloom well. Bone meal is a great way to add phosphorus. This article will also help:

My wisteria has pods that are hanging from the plants. Should they be picked at a certain time? I live in southwest Penn. and the plant is approx 8 years old. There was one pod that I found last fall; now there are at least 8 pods. I'd like to plant other seeds for more plants.

I purchased a wisteria plant from a local garden center approximately 3 to 4 years ago. It still has not bloomed yet. I have had a lot of growth. Is there anything I can do to get this plant to bloom? It has grown tremendously but no flowers.
