I am growing yellow squash. The squash will get 3 to 4 inches long and that is it. I have picked them and figured next ones will be bigger. Now they get about that size and start rotting. Why? They never get bigger than that.
It sounds like a pollination problem. These articles will help:

The rotting can be attributed to blossom end rot. This article will help with that: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/squash/squash-blossom-end-rot-causes-and-treatment.htm
My squash blooms are falling off before they set fruit. What could be the cause, and what can I do about this?

My fiance and I planted a garden in five rows--tomatoes, banana peppers, circus peppers, zucchinis and squash. Now the zucchini plants are starting to intertwine with the squash plants. They are both growing beautifully and the only two plants in the garden that are really getting massive. I don't want them or the other plants to die. What do I do? Help!
You may be able to train them upwards to keep them from taking over your garden. This article has more information:

The tiny squash fruit on my very healthy looking summer squash plants are shriveling at the blossom end. They are not black spots, rather the small zucchinis are just shriveling. Plants are deeply mulched. Leaves are big and healthy looking in raised beds. Stems look sturdy.

Just wondering if it is advisable to mulch around squash plants with grass clippings as I did with my tomato plants? Also, around cucumber plants. . same question.
Yes, this is fine. Grass clippings make a good mulch for all veggies.
My squash has fruit but it gets about 3 inches long and about the size of my finger, then it rots and falls off. What could be wrong? Fruit otherwise looks good. Thanks.
Generally, this is due to poor pollination. Squash will produce fruits even if no pollination has occurred, but they will only grow 1-2 inches and then die. This can easily be corrected by growing bright-colored flowers (like marigolds or zinnias) close by to entice bees to the area. You could also hand pollinate them.
