How do I harvest romaine lettuce?

Certified ExpertA.When the head gets to a size that you feel is big enough to pick, you can cut it off just above the ground. That is all tehre is to it.
You can submerse it in cold water for five minutes and then gently move it around in the water to remove the dirt.
