Is it hardy in Raleigh, NC?
Rock cress is hardy in zone 4-7, and Raleigh includes areas in zones 7b and 8a, so it depends where exactly you live. The climate might be a bit hot for them, but they will probably grow.

I have planted these in lower Michigan this year, I do not know what is required to winterize these plants. I'd appreciate any words of advice. Thank you.
Nothing special is required to prepare plants for winter. Keep watering if the soil dries out. Check for heaving early next spring and gently press plants back down if the crowns are elevated
Will Aubrieta grow in the shade in Az?
Unfortunately, you are outside of their native range. There may be some hope growing these indoors, but you may find that there is just too much heat outdoors.
Can we replant from main plant
You can start new stands from seed or you can easily make new plants by digging up and dividing the plant.
