the leaves on my honeysuckle have a sticky coating on them, how can I remove this?
Check the leaves for aphids or scale, which produce honeydew, a sticky substance that will attract ants and may cause black sooty mold to form.

Hello...just after some advice on a honeysuckle recently bought, Rhubard & Custard variety. It is being attacked i think by aphids ?. the leaves have turned black and crispy. I have sprayed with diluted washing up liquid as i have heard this is a good thing to do, but would like to know if i should be taking further action? i have attached some photos.
I don't see signs of aphids. I do see signs of bacterial infection. This can be caused by wet soils that are not allowed to dry out between waterings. You may need fungicides. This article will help:

Every year my Honeysuckle gets Aphids so I would like to Destroy it this fall. Can I plant Clematis there in the Spring or will the aphids still be in the soil and infect the new plant?

If you choose anything other than boiling water, or natural methods, I would wait a season to plant anything else in its place.

I have two other honeysuckles, they are unaffected.
Yes, they will return. It will be much easier to treat the aphids, than it will be to replace the plant, only to have them return to treat again.

Ericaceous or normal compost added to soil?
Just add normal compost to the soil. Neither vine requires acidic soil.
ers this season? The plant is in a planter on my porch.
If it does, it won't be many. This will take a couple of seasons before it starts to flower well.

When we moved into our new home a few years ago there was a honeysuckle which had grown into a small bush. Not knowing much about gardening we just let the plant grow. However as you can see from the picture the plant is now severely overgrown. I know we should cut it back but I’m not sure how much and exactly when to do that. I wanna send a question just send a question forgotten thing what to do with it
You'll want to wait on pruning until the plant is dormant in winter. This article will help:
