I have the winter hardy hibiscus plants and the bugs are eating the leaves to just about lace looking. Is there a spray I could use?
I like neem oil as an insecticide. It is safe for people, pets and beneficial bugs but very effective on harmful pests. Here is more information:

I have five hibiscus plants in the front of my house. Four of them are fine. However, the leaves began turning yellow and falling off on only one of them. I gave it extra fertilizer and water, but now the branches are basically bare. I checked it for bugs and do not see any. I do not understand why this one is having problems when conditions for all five are the same. It looks as though new leaves are sprouting on the branches, but I am not sure they will continue to grow. It was still producing flowers for a time, but then the buds dry up. I don't know what to do to help it and it looks absolutely terrible.
I would be willing to bet that even though you did not see pests, the plants still has a pest infestation. If it was a disease, it would likely not regrow leaves. Some pests, like thrips or mites, can be difficult to see with the naked eye. I would treat the plant with neem oil. This will kill any harmful pests on the plant without being a danger to people or pets in the yard. Here is more information on neem oil:

Does a hibiscus need full sun or shade?
These plants do best outdoors when grown in full sun or bright light indoors. The following article should be of some help to you: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/hibiscus/how-to-care-for-hibiscus-plants.htm
Should I cut my hibiscus back after its blooms have fallen off in order to produce more blooms?

I have a five-foot Hibiscus Plant outside my front door and recently the leaves have turned yellow and are falling off at an alarming rate! There are hardly any green leaves left and I need some help.
Is this a tropical hibiscus or hardy hibiscus? If tropical, mine that are in full sun are doing the same thing. Are yours in a pot? If you are experiencing great heat and no rain, I think it is just suffering as a result. Be sure to water well and you may want to move it to partial shade during the hot times of the day. They won't bloom as well but they live for another day (Fall). YOu can then get it to survive to bring into the house this winter (if you get frosts).
My yellow flowering hibiscus looks healthy and is blooming nicely, but I am concerned that it continually has several leaves that yellow and fall off even though most of the leaves are dark green and appear healthy.
Some leaf loss is normal for a hibiscus as long as it looks healthy overall. You can reduce it a bit more by giving it some fertilizer and increasing watering for the plant.
Leafy plants naturally discard the oldest leaves so a few yellow leaves on a hibiscus is natural. The plant is simply making room for the new growth. I pick two or three yellowing leaves off my hibiscus every other day. I have a lantana that has the same habit.
I am wondering why my Hibiscus plant's leaves are turning yellow more and more everyday. It looks like it is dying.
