Fever Trees Tha Are Getting Black

We are in the Garden route Western Cape. We have fever trees on the golf course that are almost 25 years old and the bark on the south side of the tree are getting a brown to black color. The one fever tree is completely black. Can you please help with a solution?

Acacia xanthophloea, or Fever Tree are short lived plants of 10-15 years. The trees are probably at the end of their life span. You may want to contact the Agricultural Extension Service office in your area.
