Your article says to plant Douglas fir in the shade, but the tag says full sun. What should I do?
In your area, partial shade is best. Our articles are geared toward the US, where we are located. In cooler areas, they can tolerate sun where in warmer areas, they need some shade.
Received plant in pot when temperatures were in the 90's....have placed in pot in garage with daylight and are watering daily.....temperatures will be in 90's for awhile....should small potted douglas fir be maintained there OR can it successfully be transferred outdoors and planted....size is approx. 12" high.....
Not with these temperatures. I would wait until this breaks down into the lower 80s. Also, I wouldn't water every day. This will cause root rot. Only water when it needs it. This will be as the soil dries, completely, down to about 3 inches.
