32407Q.Where can I purchase a Chinese Bayberry (Myrica Rubra) seedling plant?
I am interested in growing a Chinese Bayberry ( Myrica Rubra ) plant. I know seeds are available, but I have not been able to get the seeds to germinate. 1) Where can I buy a seedling plant? 2) Can the plant be grown in Northwest Florida Zone 9b ? My name is Lin. Certified ExpertA.We do not recommend places to purchase. You can try local nurseries, or online at Amazon, Etsy, or Ebay.
You can grow them in zone 9 with some care. You must provide the environment that they require, perfectly, in order for them to survive where you are.

Certified ExpertA.Unfortunately, we do not recommend specific places for purchase. I could suggest that you try an online nursery, or somewhere local, though.

Certified ExpertA.Looks like you have to go to China to get one. My research did not show any online sellers in the US. I would hesitate to grow from seed. Apparently they are difficult to germinate and grow. You might ask at a local nursery if there is a specialty grower who would have them.
Compounding that, you would need a male and female tree to get fruit.
