I need to buy an organically grown brazil nut tree - a very young and small tree - do you have any you could sell me? Or do you know where I could order one? I need to make an herbal remedy out of the rootlets. Thanks, Louisa
I would recommend checking Amazon, Etsy, Or Ebay. Alternatively, you could check your local nurseries. They may have what you are looking for.
We do not sell anything. We only offer information.
I've just read Amy Grant's article on growing a Brazil nut tree. The article says that to obtain fruit requires a special bee and commercial attempts to obtain crops of nuts have been unsuccessful. Is it possible to get fruit from a home garden tree and if so, what human intervention can be taken that might produce fruit?
Every source I found said they have not been successfully grown in cultivation. Plus, they take 10 to 20 years to bear fruit. Not only does the nut need a special bee, but the bee orchid is necessary, as well as Amazon forest fertility, light, etc.
