I'm interested in planting some blackberry bushes, but I'm not sure if I can grow them in the zone I live in. I live in Zone 9B. Will I have any problems in planting berry bushes?
That is on the upper end of what they can take, but they should be able to live fine where you are. Make sure that the specific variety you select is also suitable for your zone.
I need to know the best time to plant blackberries and also red raspberries.
I have plants with holes in the leaves, and the holes are edged in a brown-dead look. The back of some leaves have black spots. What is up?-walt
It sounds like it may be leaf spot. This article will help:

I would appreciate info on the best way to make the trellises for my blackberries. This is first year I have ventured to plant them and want to do well.

My husband bought two bare root berry bushes, a blackberry and a raspberry. Our soil is very clay like and extremely difficult to regulate. Most of the things we've grown are in planters, raised beds and pots, so we wanted to do the same with both bushes. Could you give us any suggestions on how best to do this? Should we add something to the planter for the bushes to climb?
This article should help with that: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/berries/berries-growing-container.htm
I planted some blackberry bushes last year, and they seem to be growing well; but the stalks are viney. We are training them to grow on a fence. There are some huge stalks growing out of plants that aren't like a vine at all. Are thesefrom new growth or just a sticker bush growing out of it, and should I cut it out or leave it?
Depending on how it looks exactly, it could be a sucker from the rootstock or it could be a disease called witches broom. Either way, it is not helpful to the plant. Remove it.
If it is witches broom, there is not much you can do for the plant. Here is more information:

If it was a sucker, this happens sometimes and removing it should resolve the issue.
We have had an early spring here in New York. Can I still tip prune my bushes even though the leaves have started to come out?
