I have a Japanese black pine that I started from seed about 4 months ago. I started it inside and moved it outside when the weather was nice. It's starting to get cold and it is starting to discolor. Should I let it run its course outside or should I bring it back inside? I live in northeastern part of Mass. The pine is only about 2 to 3 inches tall and I have it in a deep pot.
I would say since it is still so small, bring it in. I would let it over winter indoors until it is at least a foot or so tall.
I am interested in purchasing a Japanese Black Pine- How can I find out the tallest available tree that can be shipped to New Rochelle, New York?
I would find a few nurseries that sell them and ask about their height and if they offer shipping on the one in the size that you choose. Most will work with you to help you find what you are looking for. Alternatively, you can check online nurseries.
