How far away from the root bulb of a newly planted sago palm, agave murphei, and cactus do I put the berm and bubbler? I am in the process of putting in the underground sprinkler/bubblers now and want to be sure it is placed correctly.
Here is a link with more information.
Pay attention to the drip line of the plants and make sure the plants are not being hit directly with water.

I have a two acre lot that has berm 50 yards in length. It was placed by the developer of the lot. However, the weeds are out of control and out ruining trees planted on the berm. How can I rectify the weed situation?
You can try Roundup with a spray shield to direct the spray. This site will explain how to make a spray shield: http://www.thisgardenisillegal.com/2006/05/how-to-make-soda-bottle-weed-killer.html
I hired two guys to landscape my yard. They put three mounds or berms in my small front yard. I have some grass coming through and they don't have any borders so they stick up pretty high and look funny. What can I do? They abandoned the job and took my money so I have to try to fix my yard. They put ugly shrubs and some kind of grass in the berms and nothing else. I wanted a cottage look with lots of color, but they didn't do that. I can't afford to hire anyone else now and they just left high and dry after they got my money.
I'm sorry you were taken advantage of.
You actually may have a good base of a garden area to work with.
Shrubs and ornamental grasses can be a good base and you can add color and the cottage feel your looking for with perennials.
Perennials can be purchased at garden centers and greenhouses quite inexpensively. Even Farmer's Markets are a great place to shop.
You don't have to buy large plants, starting with small plants can be quite economical and they will grow and fill in the space generally in 1 or 2 seasons.
I'm listing a few articles to give you some ideas and help you get started.

How far from the base of my a newly planted berm should I plant? I have a sago palm murphey, agave murphei, and barrel cactus. I am preparing/finishing my underground sprinkler/bubbler system for these plants I plan to plant next early summer. I need to know how far from the base these bubblers should be and how deep the berm should be. I believe a berm is like a ditch?

What would happen if we built a berm on top of the asphalt driveway?
A berm or planting area should not be placed onto a asphalt service or any service that does not have drainage.
