Is it normal for a Sweet Acacia desert tree in Arizona in 110 degree heat shed in June?
The premature leaf drop is most likely due to the extreme heat.
Shade cloths can be used to help reduce the stress to trees and shrubs, but if the tree is large, this is not possible.
Give the tree additional water with a slow and deep watering.
Hopefully the temps will drop and the trees can recover.

How fast will these trees grow to eventually provide shade? They came from a 15" planter... Thanks.
Both of these trees grow quickly.

I have a weed new this year after 58 years in this location. It looks like a small mimosa, and has small round seeds on the underside of leaves on the spine.
It sounds like an Acacia species. This article will help: http://ipm.ucanr.edu/PMG/GARDEN/PLANTS/acacia.html
I have an Acacia tree in Comfort, Texas. We had some very severely cold weather in December, temps in the teens and strong winds. The leaves were green until then, turned brown and fell. So far there is no sign of growth on the tree. Is it likely to be dead?
It's best to wait a few months at least before deciding whether the tree is dead. It might eventually put out new leaves as it recovers, and once this happens, you can prune out any dead branches that don't regrow leaves. You can also check whether the tree is dead using this method:

I live in Queensland and find lots of the plants shown in the photo springing up like weeds. I curious to know what they are and where do they come from? Harro
I am not familiar with the weeds in your country, but with a little digging around I did find out exactly what that is. It is creeping phyllanthus. A common pest weed.
