Q.Zone for Tea, South Dakota

colonialpetersen added on July 15, 2011 | Answered

What zone is (57064) Tea, South Dakota in? 4 or 5? When I have ordered various trees from various places, I have been informed we are in Zone 5; yet, when I check the zone chart, it seems to indicate we are in Zone 4. I’d like to plant a two or more Sour wood trees, as well as two or more Golden Raintree trees. They both say Zone 5. Would these survive here, or might they even thrive here?

All the zone charts I checked show you in 5A.
