Yucca Plants Outside

Our native Yuccas have started growing out yellow at the tops. They all are doing this. Other than that they seem healthy. There are some weird tiny bugs on them that run around the stalk of the plants. We have these planted in a fairly dry area of northwest Texas, outside Gordon to be exact. They have been planted for approximately 3-4 years now and have just started this yellowing. Should we fertilize?

Fertilizing might help, but typically yuccas don’t need a lot of fertilizer. It may be pest damage or over watering. I would treat the plants with neem oil to get rid of the pests and check the soil around them to make sure that it is not too soggy. If you have gotten a lot of rain lately, this could also cause this.
