Your Article On Growing Garlic In Containers Mentions A Short Crop On Top?

Your article was very helpful. You mentioned planting a short crop on the top layer. I don’t know what that mean. It’s going to be on top of the other garlic so will it mean that it will grow smaller? In putting a short crop on top, will it interfere with the amount of space you need for the ones underneath it? Thank you!

No, this will mean that you will plant something small rooted, and with a short season. Lettuce and dill will be good candidate for short cropping. Any smaller green will work, though.
