Winterizing Potted Hibiscus

I have three hibiscus plants in pots. I’m not sure how to store these for the winter. I would like to know if these can be stored in a storage shed. I know they have to be cut back, but do the pots have to be covered or put in a plastic bag?

If the plant is kept in a shed, there is no need in covering it, especially with plastic (which is not good for plants). It will need watering once a month, however. You can also bring it indoors for winter.
