Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a Lord Baltimore Hibiscus that was planted in the spring. Do I need to prune this back before winter and is there any care I should be giving it? (i. e. covering, mulching, or feeding)
New to gardening so one more. . . I also have some other exotic shrubs like Nandina bamboos, cherry laurels and Manchurian lilacs. Anything I need to do for these?

If it’s outside, then do not prune until spring. Depending on your location and how severe your winters are, you may only need to add a generous amount of mulch to insulate the roots. For additional protection, burlap or similar wrapping of the tree may be in order. If you live in an exceptionally cold area, then I would suggest growing your hibiscus in a container and overwintering it indoors.
